How many of you folks of this tribe have ham radio license plates on your car or truck? What are the pros of having them? The cons?

My Father does, but I don’t. I have wanted one and in Colorado it’s only 2 buck to get it.

Pro: Hams find each other on the road. As if the antennas weren’t a dead give a way.

Pro: Hams can call you on the air by your call. A lot of local hams place the frequency they listen to on the back window.

Pro: It looks cool parked next to the other hams at the local club meeting or on field day.

Pro: As a Skywarn participant it helps the police understand why you're parked on top of the hill, by yourself, on a dark and stormy night.

Con: It’s easy for non-hams to get your name.

Con: The local radio thief gets an idea that you might have radio worth taking in your car.
